Im nachfolgenden Clip wurden Szenen aus GTA4s Liberty City geschnitten wie im Film “Koyaanisqatsi” inklusive der Musik von Philip Glass. Und falls jemand “Koyaanisqatsi” nicht kennt: Ist genau dasselbe wie im Video, nur in echt. A big piece of art!
Im Halloween Haunted House finden sich Anleitungen wie man sich Geister, halbierte Leichen und Gedärme selber bastelt. Grusliges werkeln!
Der Fotograf Albrecht Gerlach hat zusammen mit Alta Media Productions diesen wunderbaren Stop Motion – wie mich Tom aufgeklärt hat – Tiltshift Kurzfilm kreiert, der absolut meisterlich umgesetzt ist und die Menschen wirken lässt, als wären sie kleine Modelle. Einfach grossartig!
Zum heutigen Halloween hab ich hier ein kleines Special in der Gruft, Geister Muppets geben zusammen mit Vincent Price den Beatles Song “I’m Looking Through You” zum besten…

Wer kennt ihn nicht, den gelbe Superlader aus “Aliens”? Hier eine erste Version des Powerloader-Exoskeletons. DasTeil soll bis 2015 marktreif werden… im Moment scheint das ganze noch bisschen – naja, sagen wir mal bedächtig: This must be for loading giant snails on to the back of the sloth wagons
The so-called “Power Loader” suit – which takes its name from the fictional hydraulic exoskeleton suit appearing in the sci-fi classic “Aliens” (1986) – is built on an aluminum-alloy frame and weighs 230 kilograms (500 lbs). Described as a “dual-arm power amplification robot”, the exoskeleton suit is currently equipped with 18 electromagnetic motors that enable the wearer to lift 100 kilograms (220 lbs) with little effort. In addition, the Power Loader’s simple, intuitive control system employs direct force feedback, allowing the operator to directly feel the movement of the robot while controlling it.
