Monster Rock from Aotearoa awaits us with the New Zealand punk rockers from «The Jury and the Saints«. The forthcoming release The Jury and the Saints follows their 2010 debut album Daydreams and 2011 EP Revival. After the EP "Freedom Fighter" (2013) and the teaser single "Focus" (2014), the time is now ripe for the New Zealanders' first official studio album. What is difficult for others in this genre, "The Jury and the Saints" create and mark an album with their own sound, which sticks in the ear far from the mainstream.
The band, consisting of Jesse Smith (guitar, vocals), Ivan Beets (bass), Marty Kroon (drums) and Rowan Crowe (guitar), began flying high at the beginning of their career, as their 2012 single "Revival" went straight to number one 1 in the New Zealand Singles Chart, the EP of the same name was number 4. This enabled «The Jury and The Saints» to provide support for Paramore on their 2010 tour of New Zealand and at the same time were hired for their Australian tour the following year. "As a band, we always caught our ideas quickly, the driving force of a song or a live show should be the initial creative spark - and this is also the case on this album," is how bassist Ivan Beets describes the approach to the recordings.

“We really focused on the material and tried to put as much energy and personality into it as possible. Instead of lengthy discussions, decisions were made based on instinct. It wasn't about making a technical album, it was about bringing our live energy to the record. We want to make music that moves people and encourages them to sing.
