In lieu of a new trailer, 20th Century Fox has shared a nearly minute-long scene from the upcoming Alien sequel, Alien: Covenant, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Michael Fassender as the android. The horrifying events of the Alien prequel are set years before the events of the original starring Sigourney Weaver. In it we see the crew around Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice), Danny McBride (Eastbound and Down), Alex England, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die, Killing), Jussie Smollett (Empire), Carmen Ejogo , Callie Hernandez (Machete Kills) and Michael Fassbender are slowly but surely preparing for cryosleep and getting together for one last meal together. In «Alien: Covenant», the crew of a colonization spaceship encounters a seemingly unexplored paradise in distant space. In truth, however, it is a dark, dangerous world inhabited by the sole survivor of the failed Prometheus expedition: David. Of course, the scene is a homage by Scott to the legendary dinner/chestburster scene from the original «Alien». “Alien: Covenant” will be released in cinemas on May 19th…
We are not yet an endangered species, but it's not that we haven't tried often enough to become one.
