John Carpenter sparked a true cult around the main character Michael Myers in 1978 and for this reason there will now also be eight parts of the story about the legendary man in the mask.
From what I've heard, the film has gotten off to a great start in the US, which makes me kind of happy because Rob Zombie (director and musician) shot this remake of the horror classic «Halloween». He was already the director of “House of 1000 Corpses” (2003) and its sequel “The Devil's Rejects” (2005) and I really liked the films, as long as you can enjoy them uncut.
Rob Zombie told Yahoo: "I came up with the idea of doing a major remake - not an actual remake, but an extended backstory combined with an update. The viewer knows the beginning of the story, but everything is much more detailed. I thought this would be more exciting for fans of the original because it's not the same old story and it will be more exciting for people who have never seen the original."
