After the Mud debacle this year you seem to have learned from it and leave that Sonisphere Festival 2011 will take place on Friday, June 24th at the Joggeli in Basel. The headliner was none other than Iron Maiden. Also part of the party are Slipknot, Hatebreed, In Flames, Alice Cooper, Bring me the Horizon, Architects and more bands are to follow...
Update: Obviously, the festival will take place on the St. Jakob site, including the football stadium in Basel. The Link to the map is available here. Four stages are planned. The main stage will be in the St. Jakobpark football stadium, where five to six bands will perform in front of around 24 spectators on June 16 from 00:23 p.m. to 00:40 p.m. In addition, three side stages will be set up in the premises of the St. Jakobshalle, each of which will focus on one style and will be used until the early hours of the morning. In addition to the tickets for the main part of the festival, which will take place in the football stadium, 000 combination tickets will be sold that allow access to all concert stages.
A limited number of campsites are available in the immediate vicinity of the festival area. Advance sales start on Wednesday, January 26th, 2011 at 08:00 am.
