Album Review: Sunterra – Reborn

Sunterra“ venture with its rebirth something new and when guitars sing heavy riffs, squeal to the synths and growls are accompanied with bouncing beats. The Austrian gothic Metal makes tape Music dominated by the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis and combined with Metal Scratching and mix to a regular dose of Industrial and Dubstep (!) in the compositions. yes friends, read correctly! Sounds weird, but this is what makes the six songs on „Reborn“ diversified. The band defined for the direction and mixes the ingredients newly, to showcase amazing rousing tracks.

With „Reborn“ ending a twelve year wait, then appeared „Graceful Tunes“ the last album of the already 1994 based gothic metallers. Then all was quiet, Austrian band was whole nine years on ice and was 2015 reactivated with a new line-up and musical change of course. With considerably more experimental sounds of the title of the EP could „Reborn“ not be more appropriate. Somehow reminds me of the Vienna „Crematory“, Although „Sunterra“ not on Clear- builds and Grwol chants male representatives and here Libuscha „Lilly“ Hruska and Karl „Carlos“ Heinz Krug duel. Also associations with „Lacuna Coil“ and „Theater of Tragedy“ are to be recognized, but it must be clear mention, that the Viennese band does not sound like a copy of these bands, but the independence is paramount. „Reborn“ marks the resurrection of the metal band and provides a fresh, new Opus is, to the 100% „Sunterra“ is, marked but a musical development of the band, to contact their own heritage with feet without. „Sunterra“ create their own, distinctive sound and thus show old and new fans, they are resurrected with a new freshness.

If you compare „Graceful Tunes“ With „Reborn“ you can see little in common. Only the vocals are reminiscent of former deeds. more always dominate powerful growls, go hand in hand with female clear vocals and distorted here and there to harsh screams. Here and there are on „Reborn“ given still interesting spoken word passages, and other games in the experimental sound somewhere between progressive metal and Hardstyle / Dubstep. Intricate riffs and varied song structures play with Groove bonds here and there and some Death Metal is sprinkled. the whole thing is garnished with neat Electro, that time in Hip Hop Beats, then pushes back into harsh industrial fields, only to deliver a bold hardstyle broadside next song, However, it creates an amazing way, abzuschmecken the abundance of variety with metal and let the whole thing sound good. If one is not accustomed to such experiments, you might have to take a little run-EP to listen to one or two times more. but after that it gets quite quick to celebrate the beats and sing the choruses.

Sunterra - Reborn - 01 Reign Surpreme

With the opener „Reign Supreme“ still trying to build a bridge to the past. There are heroic pounding Gothic Metal with drum-thunder, sawing guitars, tiefkehligem male growls and enchanting female vocals around the ears. In progressive course of the panel but is removed completely from the Gothic corner and the metal gets an increasingly subordinate role. For this one turns increasingly to Electro to, that is well said in the Promo Sheet Metal term Step (!) be. The second song is completely been different, after an initial experimental follows a dark melody. This is powerfully „Shadow In The Dark“ initiated, up interesting sound constructs joined to, which merge into a sad piano game. Dark Gloomy sadness which is supported by Lilly Singing. „Lord Of Lies“ goes from right and is electronically distorted Gothic Metal with driving melody. Right brachial it is at „This Is W.A.R.“. increased speed, Derber Gothic Metal, They save-Drum, soulful sad piano passages and shot Electro. The song is much more experimental and has many bonds to crossover soundscapes and Progressive Metal. In „Ministry Of Thoughts“ meet Gothic Metal, gloomy Electro and Dubstep wavering elements successive. Sounds strange when reading, but sounds good and fits great for track. „Shut Up“ however, comes dark and bizarre from the boxes. The whole thing has aggressive death metal components, Riffing classic industrial sound and melodic lines as in Gothic Metal. With Scratches together, it is a peculiar, idiosyncratic and so far unheard variant metallic music. There are also a markedly experimental list and many sounds, we know from the Prog Metal.

Overall, the songs of musical contrasts and the music of are „Sunterra“ is full of variety, what the tracks but also places some „uneasily“ can act. I miss a little bit the „thread“ This EP, but who it loud, grumpy and varied like, will be well served with this album. Technically, there is not much to mosern and also has ideas formation. The electro vibes have to like, fit despite the estimated Sounds like chalk and cheese. The backbone of „Sunterra“ of course does not detract from the, you get varied, offer easily accessible and catchy gothic rock / metal songs with a variety of undertones. „Sunterra“ do it, break out prescribed genre corsets and create something very unique. Extremely varied, very changeable, yet absolutely authentic. In the center of the duet vocals by Lilly and Carlos is the motto: Beauty and the Beast. The coolest song on the disk is calculated of the most electronic: „Shut Up!!!“ is more or less carried forward in a duet with some radio play character. An interesting idea, which was also well implemented and the shekel significantly enhances. Overall, the EP comes good in the ear canals and makes the longer term humor. since one can hope only, that the Vienna henceforth be not only twelve years leave until the next release. „Reborn“ is from beginning to end exciting and at the same time refreshingly different. Welcome back!

Album Review: On the border – Dictator

The Finnish Thrash Metal-Band „On the border“ Helsinki was in 2011 founded. This debut album here „dictator“ provides intense according to data of the label, rectilinear and aggressive Thrash Metal. What may sound like every x-arbitrary Thrash Metal Act, sounds in the Finnish form of these bullies carefree and passionate fresh. This is possibly also to the Finnish Lyrics, because due to these sounds the material slightly cranky – at least for those, who are the Finnish not powerful.

On the border had in 2013 released two demos and since 30. December last year is the debut „Dictator“ on the shelves. On this, the band presents 13 Tracks full Thrash Metal, in which the lyrics stories about topics such as debt, Life, tell decisions and responsibilities. Because of the topics the songs are to see serious and accordingly release the Finns the social scenes of everyday life in musical form again. About all the also is the musical direction, because is not the hundred thousandth Slayer, Kreator or otherwise quoted a Metalriesenact musical. The Finns, with plenty of autonomy and show enormous, playfully fresh potential. Intensive fast and resilient Thrash Metal is paired here with heavy grooves and slight melodic edge. All comes in response to a fresh rhythm out of the boxes and it all makes throughout mood.

On the border - Dictator

Rajalla try not at the 80 rhythm, rather be appealing freshness, intoxicating vibes popped by the boxes. The guys from the far north are an attractive metal act, provides that not only a lot of technology in a well-tolerated Mass. This melange thunders huge and has many long-lasting lashes, which can be a downright addictive remain before the player. Consistently much pace is offered, in contrast, however, is also with significantly reduced speed trying to draw the listener in the pounding songs on the side. A consistently good appearance and it does not have always the big Thrash lobe are unpacked. No instead is set to a consistently good portion of groove metal, which evenly strengthens enormously by many sound undercutting the back of the tracks.

So that is what the first and also the title track of the album „Dictator“ (dictator) knarzige Guitars, guide us directly to the manicured Energieoutburst. Finnish fits any case perfectly Jukkas easily röhrigem guturalen vocals, even if we are only to get used some of the language. Even a trace snotty goes with it „EVK“ more, the sounds kinda punk from the beginning. The pace is fast and the melody of the guitar fortunately does not disappear in soundcarpet, although the drums with breakneck speed in the foreground dahinwütet. „Seeker“ (Seeker) was in 2013 taken for one of the demos and is about the search for meaning. „Barley“ (Grain) comes with a classic metal rhythm and therefore is very varied geschriehen. These are determined 100% like shake the listener's hair and heads. Was the pace of the album so far anyway afloat, Rene is now presenting with but „misanthropy“ (Misanthropie) a violent speed before and in the middle part there is a frightening speech insert of the depths of hell. Der Track „corrected us“ (corrected us) is determined to cheer the mosh pit at a live gig of the band and those who understand the text, here can certainly sing. „oaths in blood“ (Eide in the blood) unabated angry and full of energy. The melodic vocals you will once again reminded, that Finnish probably affects not innately evil and gloomy. also „Burden“ (burden) know the Finns no mercy and we get further quite something hewn around the ears. At „the wrath of deniers“ (anger deniers) is the title of the program, provided us Google Translator does not lead to the mistaken and the next piece „limit the“ (limit) bubbles, spits and cooks the testosterone and there is no obstacle, which can stop the Finns. Next they whip us with „Five against one of“ (Five against one) and „Host“ (host) simply fun. He also teaches us to fear the already approaching the last song! This is „intersection Point“ (intersection), One last cry, a gasp and muster all forces and a true anthem!

On the border - Dictator - Full Album

Rajalla are no Thrash Metal in its purest form, it is on the contrary an extraordinarily pleasing metal rhythms, offered with many ears worms, the long-lasting fixed rake into the ear shells. A really great thrash metal mixed album, which holds virtually thousands. Melody, Groove and just charm, the latter is pleasant incredibly captivating. I would love to me the men sometimes lead Live to heart and therefore hope, this soon to be found on a European tour. Rajalla play come hell and let it rip so right on this album! Here we strongly hope, that the band can not be too much time for a further album, because the present album is definitely wanting more! The songs are written in Finnish needed in the first pass some getting, but comes to the sound quite appropriate and makes the album refreshingly different.

Album Review: Collapse at the end pigeons – Goofy was said to live longer

Finally they fly again! at the 23. September with „Goofy was said to live longer“ the new album by Fun-punk band „Collapse at the end pigeons“ appeared. Fun-Punk? In the strict and orthodox punks the term was then more than frowned upon. Even Michael „Olga“ Algar, Singer of Toy Dolls, apply internationally as the inventor of the genre, rejects the concept until today. The crashes ends pigeons contrast, the Mirco „Micro“ Bogumil 1983 founded together with Konrad Kittner, wore the name with pride. A response received the pigeons at the very beginning of their careers to hear: „You guys are no punks!“ From the rigors and Orthodox. to whom, the understanding of real freedom little…

Collapse at the end pigeons - Goofy was said to live longer

It was the „fun“ of crashes ends pigeons in my view, the real liberation, the air we breathe, the impish grin at clenched fist, the flower in the buttonhole to studded belt and red laced boots. They always played fast, grip and stage diving and fraternity on stage without grid and shut themselves in larger events they used earlier than most. The music industry opened and denied them simultaneously. As them in the nineties around albums like „Under the Sign of Blöden“ and „The last shuts the door“ obeyed even chart success and BRAVO stories, they wrote with „EMI“ a parody of their record company and made it almost, to smuggle the song unnoticed on the album. „The plate was practically in pressure“, says Micro, „only sometime someone has the tape actually belongs times until the end.“ The single of the album consists mostly of original Call on Conrad AB. In Hape Kerkeling's film „Kein Pardon“ they play Wiring Aids. The tours through the new federal states newly pushed-after reunification with the FRG were to „Self defense tours“ by occupied by aggressive fascists area. once Travel them 150 Neo-Nazi hooligans after even by train.

About 25 Years later it looks in some parts of eastern Germany again as it did. Since it is only logical, that the pigeons as the first single of the new album a catchy tune called „Never again Pegida“ unpacking. 1997 was – except for two small Reunionkonzerte 2002 – dissolved the band. 2006 Micro had his best friend and fellow Konrad with only 44 bury years after cardiac arrest. stands on Conrad's grave stone „Peace and circuses“, an evocative blend of the Roman „Bread and Circuses“ and the 1993's album title of band, „War and Games“. An attitude, the Micros new and current colleagues Olli has absorbed his life as a fan of the band, until he 2013 finally himself was a member. „It has long used Calls, until we shared a Music could make, which really sounds again like doves“, says Micro, „But it worked.“ Now everything will be done so as before: recorded in their own studio, produces itself, toured the dangerous Eastern. „Most have advised us: Power merely no new album, playing the old stuff. That's enough.“ to heard „Goofy was said to live longer“ one can exclaim with a big grin on his face: Thank you, Micro and Olli! Thank you, that you did not hear it,! because the, Love critic, Operators and journalists, her this text here just read, THIS is the air we breathe, the punk needs and makes you feel, To be alive! Neither interminable manifestos nor profane Suffschlager, but the essence of a lot of enthusiasm and the few clear boundaries, the one shall work for a dignified life obstructive. against fascists. counter surveillance. against Frühvergreisung. For freedom, for pleasure, for life, in the time it simply shits! The Strict and Orthodox? Sitting today a home, in parties or built. Because they have never understood, that the best breaks his chains by simple measures.

Collapse at the end pigeons - Goofy was said to live longer

I liked the Punk Pathetique the two already always, because it was the Antipol to deadly serious riot Punk the Strict and Orthodox. The pigeons were simply refreshing and you could easily make only party. Now they're back – and the classic pigeon vibes are good to hear again. 16 Songs, slightly more than half an hour, perfect! More must also not be. Well produced and a cover in the style of old records. perfect! One can easily recognize, Who here is on works - just in opener „Horror Part 3“. Here one feels immediately in the 80s or early 90s set back. Sure are a few things rather flat-funny and silly - but they are just. And clearly there is still also serious issues. The pigeons have always clearly positioned against the right and they need due to the AFD and consorts now unfortunately again. And the rest of the songs is without of course have quite entertaining draft, but that was anyway always the core competence of the two. Funny to silly, but always emulate fast and fresh go without hurt. On the concerts, since the deaf 2013 play again, experienced Micro, how much has their kind of punk actually causes. „Because people come from the former East Zone, who say: You have saved our lives.“ Or cabinets, „three years jail under his belt, tattooed, Rings in face“, take Micro in the arm and say: „You were as Boy for me is the great.“ Great for all the young people of today, which can make this experience now again from scratch with the pigeons. Konrad would be proud of this, O kings of Punk Pathetique!

Album Review: Rob Zombie – The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser

With his new album „The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser“ Rob ties Zombie to old strengths to. Rob Zombie was once very highly regarded, at least for me, Because „Hellbilly Deluxe“ was then in 1998 Just great. Then me unfortunately has no album of the wild-Industrial Schaffer's more really cast a spell. Away from his Music he could me as a director always always convince again, which probably meant, I have always followed his creative goings. Although the Conclusion, that his music for me slipped something into irrelevance. With „The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser“ or short „TEWAWSOCD“ He is also musically fully on the trigger and shows, what his moves, so!

Album Review: Rob Zombie - The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser

Each album since „Hellbilly Deluxe“ was always one or the other song contained, was really good, But at these times or even on albums by White Zombie unfortunately the master was no longer able to tie. With „TEWAWSOCD“ but was not expected, because that Rob Zombie shows all unbelievers the finger and missed them such a blow, from which you will not recover as quickly. „The Last Of The Demons Defeated“ is a 90-second introduction, makes clear, what Zombie wants to express with his work. Heavy Guitars, Freaky, creepy sounds and the high art of Industrial are difficult to make and immediately clear, Rob Zombie has not his paths Leave. the horror was the man known never averse and what with the second song „Satanic Cyanide! The Killer Rocks On!“ disclosed, is a horror film in the best sense. So behave the song also like to start, so oppressive and morbid it evolves over its entire term. the Balance between tangled sounds, Zombies haunting vocals and brutal noise walls fascinated. In the 2:58 Minutes conjures Zombie also gentle elements out of the hat, which integrate perfectly into the otherwise so rude songs.

Album Review: Rob Zombie - The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser

„The Life And Times Of A Teenage Rock God“ however, only the target has to shock. One feels oppressed, threatened and looks downright evil face. Certain parallels to Rammstein and their hit album „nostalgia“ are not to be dismissed out of hand, Plagiarism but certainly not rise. „Well, Everybody’s Fucking In A U.F.O.“ we have already heard as first single and so skeptical I was then the opposite number, as well as I understand now this song. It represents the album masterfully and in the overall context it acts as a best choice for a single. „A Hearse Overturns With The Coffin Bursting Open“ represents a Interlude, which leaves time to breathe. The instrumental track seems almost fragile in the ranks of the songs on this album. If Zombie accesses an acoustic guitar and is fragile, you have to ask the question, whether behind the Roughneck maybe a little romantic infected. With „The Hideous Exhibtions Of A Dedicated Gore Whore“ celebrates one the free movement of words. Who needs tutoring, regarding objectionable vocabulary, can here his free hour pick up and this accompanied with a Hammond organ! „Medication For The Melancholy“ then whipped back to the front and shows the determination of his work, „Get Your Boots On! that’s the end Of Rock And Roll“ has already character and Party „Super-Doom-Hex-Gloom Part One“ reveals itself as the most compact Song of total 12 Track strong album. But Doom can implement Rob Zombie, as „Wurdalak“ shows. Where bare destruction and boundless chaos, because this man feels at home.

The ups and downs deliberately generated, the electronic underpainting and compelling head of the project make this album a masterpiece, which can take the fight to the last very successful studio album without problems! „The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser“ is a fascinating work, granted which insights into the brain of Rob Zombie. Genius and madness go usually accompanied, ie it so beautiful and one can only connect to this crude and oblique musical odyssey. Where other bands and musicians lose the end of a groove carrier often quality, I can only say, that particular 2. Album Review: Phased – Aeon

The Doom Metallers „Phased“ rock for almost a decade, the stages of the world. The trio from the beautiful Basel Switzerland, originally founded as a stoner rock band, brings after a creative hiatus her already fourth album „Aeon“ on the market. So the three musicians have turned the screw and the sound known Doom freshened a little. A logical development, Psychedelic Doom, is the name of the band's sound and characterizes the new album.

Phased - Aeon

Imports coming from Basel „Phased“ has made in the course of her career with many live performances in the Doom scene a name. Through countless shows, with appearances at „Stoned From The Underground“, „Up in smoke“, the „Doom Shall Rise“-Festival and support slots with genre greats such as Orange Goblin, Mastodon and Spirit Caravan, the Swiss were able to say also on the live front and their Music presenting to a broad audience. Once founded as Stoner band, stand Phased nowadays for psychedelic Doom, leaden, hard and yet groovy, „Motor Doom“ as they call their music. arose after various predecessors formations „Phased“ in its present form in the year 2001. Six years after their last studio album, the band now releases the new and fourth album. The seven tracks of deep tuned guitars, sluggish rhythms and subtly menacing vocals were 2014 by Chris Sigdell, Marko Lehtinen and Michael Greilinger (Gastmusiker am Bass) bei Helium Records included in Basel, mixed by Richard Whittaker in London and mastered by Greg Chandler in Birmingham.

Phased - Aeon

With „Seed of Misery“ and catchy riff opens the boys album. A fat Doomer, the immediately brought roars the right mood and unequivocally shows, where the heavy "Hammer of Doom" depends. Slow and with sounddienlichem vocals, convinced the solid material, so you can speak without hesitation of a successful debut, Also, when the composition has a bit long-winded. The song fits well on a, what you get to hear the rest of the album. If you come in the third track „Eternal Sleep“ an, one wonders at the half of the songs inevitably, why the track is quieter. Insert This stylistic device which phased, to refresh the songs, can sometimes irritate some, but if you're getting into it,, this is quite refreshing. Strikingly, that besides the rooted in Doom elements, are truly heard everywhere, an associated portion was processed to Space rock influences.

With „Into the Gravity Well“ then the trio goes into the really fucking deep worlds of Funeral Doom. Plunging one can not descend into the catacombs of the Doom Metal, without self-set goals to lose sight. Now that's not meant negatively, Rather, this description is intended to make clear sound, Phased quite fathom that limits. The following songs are timeless Doom songs, which as already mentioned, always come up again and again with spacey psychedelic influences. Unfortunately occurs here with the time the dreaded slow disease, which one with a little more ingenuity and the resulting change, better in the right perspective could move. Atavism called a regression in the evolution and nothing could be more appropriate here, because the bouncer „The atavistic“ seems to be guided by the Stoner-past of the band. One of the most innovative tracks on the album, but according to the booklet the only song, of the non- „Phased“ itself was written.

Phased Logo

„Aeon“ is a Doom Album, which can can be heard more than once and has failed soundwise desired brachial. Doom meets Psychedelic! Speed in Doom Metal is known to be as good as non-existent and so set „Phased“ its sluggish march continued through eschatological psychedelic forests, with abysmal guitars and rhythmic arrangements. What the trio missing something is the kick, that certain something, which should not be missed in Sludge and Doom. For predictable are the tracks and somehow there is a lack of „Suspense“, the eventually get to the climax and wanting more. Seven Tracks, which have ultimately on an enormous amount of potential, but unfortunately not fully savored. „Phased“ put the bar high, but considering Genre giants easy nor too little high, there's more in it! And yet, „Aeon“ is a good album! Who Psychedelic Doom like, will discover many striking passages and finally hang a contented engine Doom face. Thumbs up!

Album Review: new Street – Seraphim

On „Seraphim“ is it according to the Bible to a higher angel race. Als Seraphim, the word means in Hebrew „The Burning“, be fiery, six-winged angel, hover around the throne of God and continually „Holy, Holy, Holy“ call, designated. At the same time „Seraphim“ the title of the end of August published debut of the German Black / Death Metal-Duos „new Street„, consisting of Sarghas and Nordmann, which incidentally still together at Nelandhir, Immorior and Yarr are active. „new Street“ treading new paths no, But what we have here, is an album, the many groups would be only too happy unravel in this genre itself. No perfect album, but alone is recommended due to its wealth of variety very!

new Street - Seraphim

In the present work of „new Street“ Is it a concept album. The Seraphim accuses, the people are made despite their lower impulses and selfish actions after the end of their life in the kingdom of heaven than his peers. God sends him straight to hell to the „Humanity“ to see, to experience and to learn. From the beginning, you will be part of the story of Seraphim and the steps extend from the first to the last chapter gradually toward the absolute darkness and despair, guided by pain and hate. The band „new Street“ consists of Sarghas, what specifically contributes lyrics and vocals and Nordmann, the ideal in programming, Mix and mastering familiar and both are equally responsible for instruments and composition.

new Street - Band

The album contains nine songs with a total playing time of around 38 Minutes. The cover of the debut album is kept in an expressionistic black and white, bringing oppressive, ominous pictures with it, the best fit to the basic atmosphere of the album. The German texts were written by Sarghas and are put up by him. Depending on the section and position of the protagonists vary the voice and the song can be found only words of praise, because this is all just perfect in the Lyrics immerse. For this purpose it but already requires a certain attention and especially about time, to let act to the whole album to be. If you do not bring both, dedicates itself to equal better something else.

Nails
new Street - In Flames rain

The sound is consistently good and the instruments properly mixed. Musically the album is based on blast beats and melodic riffs, which would fit together with the vocals on a folk metal album. the singer As mentioned changes vocally often between screams and growls and often, especially in the choruses is also clear vocals for use. Although the songs have a most significant playing time, is not tired they always back to listen again, because you always discover something new, which is a previously not noticed. There is no time such a thing as monotony or even boredom. The instrumental work of two men fits absolutely great for the theme of the album. on „Seraphim“ is giving the listener a lot, of furious, fies schreddernd, melodic heights up to quiet between tunes is everything with this.

new Street - Logo

There is therefore a lot of variety on offer, by variations in the speed and the hardness of the Music, and the use of keyboards will find a wide spectrum of sound, the the epic melodies („Caught in eternity“) over slightly progressive songs („In false freedom“) to aggressive demolition („Son of hatred“) enough. But the drums at „In false freedom“ sweeps a the beetle out of the room and absolutely great and a listening tip my one is the song „Acheron“, because this skin a smooth away the turnip!

Nails
new Street - Acheron [Music Video]

„Seraphim“ loses even after several runs of anything in intensity or atmosphere. No title sounds like another and the shekel is a very solid debut, that you can listen to quite often, comes without the boredom. Just to get the texts of „new Street“ speak to come to, you should really take the time for this, for since I came to terms ears, I did not know until now. It was said to look up while you also learn something on top. Man merkt, that was not just carelessly hingerotzt with this album something, but much emphasis is placed on detail. „Seraphim“ is a thoroughly enjoyable Black / Death Metal album and the way through hell would underlaid music, it is considered that with „Seraphim“ the soundtrack in hands.

Album Review: M.H.X’s Chronicles – Infinite Ocean

M.H.X’s Chronicles are a quartet of São Paulo, which this year released his debut album „Infinite Ocean“ published. The band's sound can be described as epic designed Melodic Death Metal describe. Lyrically and musically, it is a lot about Travel and aspirations. The album has a very particularly intense atmosphere with samples of ocean waves, brief elegant string passages, dreamy piano melodies, progressive keyboard passages, technically-oriented and yet powerful riffs, playful rhythm sections, powerful clean vocals and growls unleashed. Both progressive sophisticates and genre fans will get their money.

M.H.X’s Chronicles – Infinite Ocean

São Paulo is a good breeding ground for the Metal, over the years have made it in the Underground many bands from this Brazilian land to gain a foothold in the Metal Universe. Many have disappeared, now stands with the band name M.H.X's Chronicles a band in the wings, which the Melodic Death Metal have really good mood! The quartet consisting of H Murillo. Xavier (Vocals & Guitar), Raphael Carvalho (drums), Michel Oliveira (Guitar) and Wallace Ribeiro (bass) it has technically good mood, quite harmonious, Scandinavian roots, has typical Brasil Groove oriented Thrash to mate Attitude. Until now, I was named „M.H.X’s Chronicles“ not really start what, because this Brazilian Melodic death metallers have only brought out an EP, which I could find with the best will in nowhere. So is the debut "Infinite Ocean" thus the baptism of fire and this will not be well with other metal fanatics otherwise.

M.H.X's Chronicles - The Way Home (Lyric Video)

Riffs, Verses and choruses sound like mentioned very nordic not to say Finnish and are actually so nothing special, but due to the freshness and the burgeoning Groove the guys have prepared a mixture, with which they certainly create a huge hurricane. „Dark Tranquility“, „In Flames“ and Co. should have stood as a drawing board pattern here Pate. Once again, that sounds reasonable imitation, now not really, because the independence of the votes can be gained admirable here is the final, which have conjured up here Brazilians. The dark melody and mix up the always again aufbauschende Groove flair are just a not-looking by hand Detail, which heaves the boys forward. Intensive brutalities and a good grip in the Melodic box are very agreeable of art, if the same one must bring significantly more autonomy from happening in the future. For a debut the skin quite off the stool, But in this tough business and for the further continuation of it then needs a little more.

M.H.X's Chronicles Band

In total there are „M.H.X’s Chronicles“ good Melodic death metallers, with racy mix and you should take your time in the entire album to enjoy it fully immerse order. Who really does not have the time and leisure to, I recommend as Anspieltipps especially the songs „at the end“, „Outcry“ and „A Winter Song“. For the further progress is needed then surely a bit more momentum, this needs to be expanded more easily, then open the guys from São Paulo Doors and gates. Fans of bands like „Soilwork“, „Axegressor“, „Nightmare“, „In Flames“, „Dark Tranquillity“ and all congeners can not go wrong here and overall sounds „Infinite Ocean“ Very entertaining.

Album Review: Child Of Caesar – Love in Black

the debut album „Love in Black“ Of „Child Of Caesar“ rotates with its low-tuned guitars and dark melodies time back there, As gothic Rock had its heyday. It may not quite believe it, that this band largely comes from Germany. The style is Goth Rock /Metal with elements of dark metal genre. Influences of bands like „Sister of Mercy“, „Tiamat“, „Paradise Lost“, but also German Goth Metal icons such as „Darkseed“ or „Scream Silence“ are undeniable. on „Love in Black“ accepts Daniel Mitchell the Vovals and lies rather in the alternative for the right Dark Sector, but fits. Anyone who has heard at the time the late 90s early 00s Gothic Metal / Rock, will have on this disc his joy.

Child Of Caesar - Love in Black

the children Caesar listen to the name André Marcussen (Rhythm Guitar), Christopher F. Cashiers (bass & Lead Guitar) and Dino Cadavian (drums), for singing Daniel Mitchell shows the U.S.. Metal Band „Autumn Eyes“ responsible, not a bad grip, is here succeeded, because it fits well with the vocal genre – and yet is a bit strange. The gothic rock band comes across with a very gloomy passion and similar to their models the songwriting is designed dark and gloomy. On the one hand there are the texts, the act of dark themes - a great fascination with everything Morbid, Death or emptiness is not to deny. On the other hand, we have the implementation of these texts and moods in the Music. This means, in effect, many eerily beautiful melodies, sometimes very slow and supporting, then stressed again very strongly with bass and reef. The sad howling lead guitar sets the tone. Keyboard- Programming and also do not miss out and are eerie mood makers as needed. The harmonious backing vocals and choir inserts round out the songs often off nicely.

The sound effects, that play when you listen the opener Defector, might also be the trumpets of the Apocalypse be. Actually it concerns with the opening bars only to a beautiful, gloomy keyboard playing, that one should prepare for a wall full of punchy Gothic Rock. Consistent with organ sounds and the dark spherical Keyboards, the band plays exciting and uncompromising Gothic Metal. Even the voice of frontman Daniel Mitchell ensures shudder and with the gloomy, angry guitars, Stormy Drums, the mystical keyboards and punchy bass is the perfect Gothic Show. „Defector“ have „Child Of Caesar“ with much Love built to detail and yet a simple structure. Who believes now, if it were in the Gothic rockers to one of these endlessly copied cliché Gothics, is mistaken. In a black scene, In the always again the same slurry is thousandfold nachgekocht and warmed, is finally a fresh breeze on a cloudy autumn day and shows, that there is another way!

Child Of Caesar Band

The entry to „Red Sun“ carried melancholic harmony. First acoustically, the song turns quickly with mid-tempo drums and accelerates. That certain something to give here the simple, spherical Keyboards, the all even more magical, make depressing. Here Axe Man Christopher plays a brilliant guitar solo. The chorus is implemented fabulous and burns itself into memory. The mid-tempo track is certainly a punchy, geniales Gothic Metal Gewitter, that his energy fully deployed in a loud thunder and the bill is definitely on. Open the gates of the brilliant gothic metal „Child Of Caesar“ titled „Gates“. As before, there is here Song Kost midtempo with gloomy Keyboards, Guitars and basses, the punchier could not be. This may also be less more, is thus proved, because the refrain the electric piano definitely still put the finishing touches. Toward the end, there is also in this glorious Gruftiemetalhymne again the obligatory guitar solo, this time accompanied by piano. One thing is certain, „Child Of Caesar“ understand it, melodic, Write anthemic choruses to, often have the catchy.

Nails
Child Of Caesar - Red Sun

„Nero“ is very melodic in his lead guitar. The rhythm guitars and bass lines, but kept relatively simple. Absolutely worth hearing, but is probably the song, because you skippt more times. Since the asset supported by piano music guitar solos does not really help. The keyboard game can be in the first few seconds of „Long Live The Night“ hairs stand on end. It sounds like the pure horror and the melody is simple eerily beautiful. This tune also constitutes the leading element in the chorus. Bass and guitar(n) are again starkbrüstig anxious direction directed. „Lost Sacrifice“ leaves the listener people think of a war movie, Marching drums, Sounds like an old radio ... you know what I mean, before the sound fully stereo and with full force since. The drum sounds initially remain the same, until it goes again with concentrated energetic Gothic Rock. Lyrically, this involves the hypocrisy of Christianity, or the church itself. A strong song, the again proves especially its strength in the chorus here. On Speed, is the music of „Child Of Caesar“ definitely not designed, though here and there, here are the double bass is used: The songs are almost entirely in the mid-tempo. But speed is something, was „Child Of Caesar“ also does not need. The band plays imaginative Goth and their singer moved with his voice the listener in its spell.

Child Of Caesar

on „You“ there again melodic lead guitars, as they could not be more melancholy. The entire band mixes again the best at a quite Rockbaren song together. String sounds on return „At Heart“ back, the soft cling at the piano playing. This applies symphonic, magical loveliness of savagery and of course again as it should be this: beautiful bleak! Again, the whole thing is right again. The rocking 3-chord guitar riffs, but could be a bit more varied here. However, this is countered immediately, changes as the clock and once again resound best guitar solo must. as always, the rear part of the song, fast but after this short trip, back to the temperate, dark paths returns, before he silenced. The title track „Love in Black“ comes next in the series, and here comes the concentrated power of „Child Of Caesar“ out of the boxes and in the ears of the listener. The focus is on this song more on the anthemic vocals, and the musicians playing their instruments determined in its purity and so also scores „Love in Black“ fully. „Worlds Without Skies“ is the last track of the album and boasts a beautiful piano melodies, the beginning and in the middle, form a powerful element. The keyboards are arising with the guitars and punchy bass and the singer a Gesamtkunstwerk.

Child Of Caesar

Child Of course Caesar not invent the wheel, but they do their thing on the debut album just really good and rock to dwell very earthy and dirty. Most of the songs is really catchy and will not be bored even after repeated listening. two, Although three less good songs are attending, but this one has mostly. Anyway, I'm surprised by „Love in Black“, the at times, where comparatively little good albums in the Gothic Metal area appear, a thick exclamation mark sets. Sure sometimes the riffs and arrangements are relatively simple and the melodic part, lies by „Child Of Caesar“ often in song, and in the keyboards and the occasional lead guitar in the band, yet provides all around darkly slow-spooktacular Goth Metal from Germany. Fans of the Sisters or Tiammat be sure to listen to the, because here you can hear clearly the style of the 90's out there and find something, was man ev. has beautiful long no longer belongs in this way. More of it, Anyway, I get pleasure, also once again to hear older disks…

Album Review: The Other – Fear Itself

The Other“ do not apply without reason as one of the most popular bands of the horror-Punks in Europa. The mix of Punk, Horror and Goth is fans of hard Music Yes since the Misfits or Danzig in the ears. to mix punk music with sounds of other subgenres and with a (Horror-)To garnish Image is flat per se times not a bad recipe. The similarly acting competition is „The Other“ rarely high advance and yet you have to soberly notice: For the great career it was enough „The Other“ yet. After the last disc and the withdrawal of some band members, is still life in the old corpse. In a horror movie series in the sixth part is usually deflated or she would have to reinvent. But movies are no plates.

The Other - Fear Itself

Fewer than three years have passed since the publication of the last „The Other“ Albums „The Devils You Know“ went into the country. a time, in which the cast carousel turned so violently, that the band for a while almost entirely of singer Rod Usher and drummer Dr. Caligari Bestand. But with Pat Laveau (Guitar), Ben Crowe (Guitar) and Aaron Torn (bass) one has found an adequate replacement and is even grown from quartet to quintet. In this line, the group released now with „Fear Itself“ their sixth album. But despite the occupation change the really big surprises in contained herein remain 14 Tracks from. You heard, Now that two guitarists are at the start, but otherwise are located „The Other“ remained faithful. The troops from NRW has now been 2002 road and despite constantly changing musicians, especially bassist, has not suffered their music.

The Other - Band

The Cologne Horror punk band is an integral part of the German scene, but you should at „The Other“ do not take the word punk too literally, because the sound is stylistically more on Metal oriented. So on „Fear Itself“, that again by Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc., Tiamat, Moonspell) was produced, already on „The Devils You Know“ Directed by and for „New Blood“ (2010) the final sound mix designed. Reliance on the new album „The Other“ again on a broad base of different style elements. What the record company as in its letter Promo „traditional Metal Opener“ is designated „No more“. And exactly this song makes it clear, what difficulties „The Other“ will have the Durchschnittsfan well, Because this song is as primarily „German Punk“ to understand, has nothing to do with the rest of the album. Me personally disturbs the musical variety wealth not, Critics might keep this wide range of style elements but for a lack of orientation.

Nails
The Other - Dreaming of the Devil (Official Video)

The record company sees, for example, elements of „Thin Lizzy“, „Iron Maiden“, but also „The Cult“ and „Danzig“. And then there's just been the punk and in my opinion a shot „The Visiom Bleak“, which is probably due to the orientation of the dark subject. All in all, not bad, but unusual and possibly somewhat unpredictable. Right after the intro blares the addressed „No more“ from the speakers, wherein for the first time venturing Cologne mind, to present the opener in German. Just after the „Unholy-Skirt“, she for the song „Eternity“ suffered their last record, This was a courageous step. „The Other“ provide here a veritable punk track, both the fans „Toten Hosen“ as well as the „Böhse Onkelz“ will celebrate. The rage of the 80s penetrates from the line, manifested in the riffs of the guitars and the furious beats of the drums. Big movies at the beginning.

The Other - Logo

Then begins the descent into the darker realms. „Bloodsucker“ is one of the most expressive songs. Inspired by 12 Claudia years of Anne Rice „Interview with a Vampire“ playing the track with the fact, that not immortality always is desirable. To remain always twelve? It is similar to the following „Black Sails Against A Midnight Sky“ and „Dreaming Of The Devil“ to. At „Black Sails Against A Midnight Sky“ convince the guitar melodies, but I can not really abgewinnen something and the chorus like only moderately singing Usher. Perhaps the schema, after the pieces are written, a little too predictable, or lacked the very large, brilliant idea. The chorus to „Dreaming of the Devil“ ie it then „Dreaming, Dreaming of the Devil / You know it’s gonna be alright“, what seems somehow half-baked. In itself a nice up-tempo number, which will look good on the dance floor.

the-other-band-02

„Doll Island – Island of the Dolls“ I find rather interesting, because „Island of the Dolls“ is an island in the channels prior to Mexico City, on which – to match the name – hanging hundreds of mutilated toy dolls in the trees. The story behind these dolls, that they were hung on the island to drive away the ghost of a girl who drowned near the island. But back to the music, because this is well done on the sixth title. The song begins with a quiet Part, the most part of Bass and rare, slightly distorted guitars supported, while Usher, the story of the drowned girl with half geflüstertem singing initiates. Then the title goes to a classic Heavy Metal Part, followed by shallow, successful melodies. Hammer Komposition! When a horror punk band with the atrocities of World War II sets apart, takes a look at the current situation and together count one and one, then a song comes as „German Fear“ out. When groups such as the Pegida you look at, one recognizes, how terrible is currently the subject still. „German Angst“ is a leaden metal number, the right Bock makes.

Nails
The Other - No more (Lyric Video)

The second half of the album is basically a balancing act between mediocrity and upper class, as well as between metal and punk. While also really good songs like „In The Dark“ and „Screams In The Black House“ With this, sounds „Funeral March“ something too flashy for the title, although the vocals from Usher you might think, that Iggy Pop and Billy Idol in the stanza with standing in the room. In „The Price You Pay“ there is one of the best „The Other“-to hear choruses of all time. The vocals sound great and instrumental one has varied melodies, changing rhythms and great ideas in store. At „rise“ then comes the punk again more to train and sprayed content and visually Horror- und b-movie-aesthetics. Completed the album is the dramaturgical „Mephisto“, a very big hit, the selected toll as Rausschmeisser, because he makes Bock, reinzuhorchen again. Full removed recalls the „Mephisto“-Riff an „Subway to Sally“, although not at their eponymous song. The chorus, to excel in its simplicity hardly, Rods gloomy, langgezogenes „Mephisto“ with the cold, almost metallic acting line „call my name“ becomes a suspenseful whole, that can live very well implement.

the-other-band-03

„Fear Itself“ is a great album, that hide in no way behind his predecessor has. Because after the last album half the band members are drawn away to new regions, It was clear, that „Fear Itself“ would sound different. Just by the second guitar sound now comes voluminous and therefore more pressure. This can be seen especially on songs like „Funeral March“, with its strong bass track, is fanned out beautifully by the two guitars. Thanks Pat Laveau and Ben Crowe to Sechssaitern and Aaron Torn on bass and the powerful blows of Doc Caligari start the bouncer Mephisto with incredible force, which would not have been possible before. Hopefully, the five guys for a while remain together, given that cooperation can yearn for future plates. The tape shows, there is nothing to fear except fear itself. They in any case go fearlessly their way and can not slow down even the departure of band members. A little fresh air seems to have the band on the contrary, even well done. A few small surprises would „Fear Itself“ possibly can still tolerate, But „The Other“ Stay true to yourself and thereby. The 80s Punk Rock- Rock-, Horror mix runs through the whole album. In addition to a well dosed dash of salt are found indeed a well or two hairs in the soup, but they are to get over – the bottom line makes the wheel fun, Rods voice is still beautiful to listen, recorded the tracks with a lot of verve and good atmosphere. Overall, there are many beautiful, small experiments, which enrich the album, without the thread to cut. Who „The Other“ additions already found good, is also „Fear Itself“ be satisfied. A recommendation is sufficient because of the entertainment value of the plate all! thumb high the horror movie from more! „Fear Itself“ is gruftig, but not mieft!

Album Review: Pro-Pain – Voice Of Rebellion

Pro-Painsind einfach unermüdlich und irgendwie hat die Band viel mit „Motorhead“ or „AC/DC“ common. Not musically, but also in „Pro-Painweiss man bei jedem Album schon vor dem ersten Hören ziemlich genau, what to expect. So behaupten böse Zungen gerne, that it completely, in principle, sufficient an album of New York in his collection to have. This assertion lacks as „Motorhead“ and „AC/DC“ not a certain truth, because even on „Voice Of Rebellion“, dem inzwischen fünfzehnten Album der Band, sind die Veränderungen erneut nur marginal wahrnehmbar. Während Kritiker gerne den angeblichen Stillstand der Truppe bemängeln, so kann man dieses scheinbare Manko auch umgekehren und als Stärke der Band Verlässlichkeit nennen. Anyone choosing as fans the latest work can be sure, that he thus gets exactly, of what he Meskil and Co. expected: Melodic Soli, heftige Doublebass Gewitter und das heftige Gebrüll des Frontmannes, of such always kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt und weiterhin mit einer gewaltigen Wut im Bauch die Missstände dieser Welt anprangert.

Pro-Pain - Voice Of Rebellion

For more than 20 Years blown away Gary Meskil (Bass / vocals), Marshall Stephens (Rhythmusgitarre), Adam Phillips (Leadgitarre) and Jonas Sanders (Drums) mit hübscher Regelmässigkeit immer wieder ein neues Pfund ins Gesicht! Mit verlässlicher Routine Put us pretty much every two years a new album, this time it is „Voice Of Rebellion“, kaum dass sein Vorgänger von 2013, „The Final Revolution„, abgekühlt ist. In their discography vary Mr. Meskil and his colleagues has always been at best the proportion of Hardcore and Thrash Metal, at the „Voice Of Rebellion“ again quite clearly tends toward the latter, yet the final result always „Pro-Pain“ and their very own definition of Metalcore or. Crossover. That's been going on for now 23 Jahren so und wird sich in diesem Leben wohl auch nicht mehr ändern. „Voice Of Rebellion“ strotzt wieder nur so vor Meskils angepisstem Trademark-Pitbull-Gebrüll, rabid / groovy riffs and brutal double bass barrage, as long as the eardrum participates. Something stimulates the „Pro-Pain“-Mainman immer noch auf und er macht seinem Ärger in bewährter Manier, passionately and with the usual emphasis air.

„Pro-Pain“ liefern mit gewohnter Konstanz und Qualität ab. Legs and learn shows „Uncle“ Gary den Jungschwänzen, „where the Bartl brings the new wine“ und da kann allerhöchstens die Speerspitze der jungen Garde mithalten. Abseits von Äusserlichkeiten wie Klamotten, all kinds of Body Modifications, hip Polit- and life settings, präsentiert sich der Veteran glaubwürdig, authentic and genuine. Dies gilt sowohl für sich selbst als auch für seinen Sound. Were the last tasting all at V.O. Added powder in Little Greek club, went this time to Florida from Sound Lounge, wo sich Mastermind-Gary mit Corey Williams selbst um die Produktion kümmerte. Have come out 14 Songs full of anger, crisp diet and coarse alignment, die stellvertretender nicht hätten ausfallen können. Bereits der eröffnende Titeltrack walzt alles nieder, what it gets in the way: „This is the Voice of Rebellion“, barks Meskil into the microphone and with such a lot of foam at the mouth, that one Fear und Bange werden könnte.

Pro-Pain Band

But that's only the beginning. Songs wie „No Fly Zone“, „Souls On Fire“ or the thumping HC punk broadside „Take It To The Grave“ are the initial fireworks in terms of penetration and playfulness in every way. „Voice Of Rebellion“ verwöhnt uns mit straightem Hardcore-Thrash wie bei „Righteous Annihilation“ and „Beautiful Death“ und leichten Punk-Einflüssen wie zum Beeispiel bei „Cognitive Dessonance“. Überdies haben „Pro-Pain“ on this album songs in the repertoire, which resonate louder and more powerful than ever, as the Monster-Groover „Age Of Disgust“ und dem völlig wahnsinnigen „Enraged“. The force is contagious, cold as a dog's snout and the song material is never boring. The continuous level, mit dem die New Yorker seit vielen Jahren ihre Unterfangen würzen, has failed this time rough. And forward is cursed, grunted and gerotzt.

ARVE Error:
thats all folks! - Video not available

Ultimately, is undecided, whether „Pro-Pain“ nun tatsächlich wie der Albumtitel vermuten lässt die „Voice of rebellion“ are. Amidst all compelling compromise the tracks are all played at the point and cut again and again Reinsvoll. Meskil manages a homogeneous whole of Hardcore, Thrash / Metal including a massive addition of heavy grooves. Der Mastermind kommt aggressiv und straight rüber und man sollte ihm nicht blöd kommen. certainly not, when it comes to gridlocked social or political views, with which the Pro Pain-Chef is always at loggerheads. Dann gibts nämlich ordentlich einen auf den Latz – in the form of Music. Overall, the 15. In your Face!

Album Review: Expenzer – Kill The Conductor

Who invented it? Exactly, the Swiss. At „Expenzer“ Thrash Metal der etwas zeitgemässeren Sorte angesagt, the Swiss were not only of her compatriot VO. Produces powder, but also materially from its work at „Gurd“ affected. But also various Swedish Acts, who have a penchant for Bay Area, scheinen auf den Plattentellern der fünf Musiker in Dauerrotation zu laufen, most notably „The Haunted“. Thus, the Swiss do not have the Thrash Metal (new)fictional, aber die gute alte Härte mit kleinen musikalischen Sahnehäubchen und dazu die unbändige Spielfreude machenExpenzer“ an experience of international class. Clever and witty Metal from Switzerland in a fantastic artwork! „Expenzer“ have sold their souls to the thrash metal and that's good!

Expenzer - Kill The Conductor

Aus der Asche Pigskin’s machten sich die verbliebenen Jungs im Frühling 2014 to work and so crawled „Expenzer“ Licht years! Die Band teilte sich bereits mit Genregrössen wie Kreator, Father und Satyricon die Bretter, still always mean the world. The thrash quintet from the Swiss Siebnen consists of Renato Burkhard (guitars), Pieric Grosjean (guitars), Reto Bachmann (drums), Gregor Luther (bass) und Tom Kapeller (Vocals) and brings Bay Area in the Modern. But even friends of cultivated Death Metal will get their money, especially those, die es verspielt mögen, Because „Expenzer“ können einiges an ihren Instrumenten und beweisen dies, in which you install some progressive and deathige elements, ohne dabei überladen zu wirken.

Expenzer Band

With „Kill The Conductor“ thrashen uns elf Songs das Hirn aus dem Schädel. Each song is well thought out and actually it is indeed at „Kill The Conductor“ um ein Thrash Metal-Album, but much is processed on. Teilweise wird man vulgär bedient und bekommt einen Arschtritt á laPANTERA“ or „Machine Head, and then switch to the modernity and how loszudonnern „The Haunted“ in its heyday. The technique and the riffs of bands like „Testament“ or „Exodus“ will indeed repeatedly buyers in Europe and also „Expenzer“ operate there, without claws. Here and there may a bit „Slayer“ not missing and to the part is produced very fat. „Kill The Conductor“ was in Little Creek Studio in Gelterkinden of VO. Received powder, mixed and mastered. Das Label „Czar of Bullets“ throws it on the market and must be more than satisfied, because this mixture of Siebnen ballert really neat, does not sound like 08/15 and makes more than just fun.

Musically goes with „Kill The Leader“ nothing wrong, On the contrary, it is announced demolition! for this, that the band only recently at the start, acting already at a very high technical playing and compositional Level. Die Riffs sägen herrlich und die Uptempo-Parts knallen mit Nachdruck. The title track is after the opener „Bitter End“ equal to a face-Tip, den ich hier hervorheben möchte. With „Play For The Deaf“ comes a very varied track and therefore in my view probably one of the best songs of „Kill The Conductor“. In „Unicorn“ stings purely musical guitar with the horny Solis and the very tech robotic vocal effect out. Cool idea, to stand out from the crowd something, dennoch ausbaufähig, würde ich meinen. to „light Speed Heart Beat“ There are also Video, the should check it necessarily follow. With „Silence Of The Amps“ gibt es einen überaus melodischen Song, who has everything, was eine Abrissbirne benötigt: Groove, Speed, Melody and a really big, dem Song dienliche, Vocal Performance. a song, den man gleich wieder zurück skippen möchte, um ihn gleich noch einmal zu hören. As a bouncer is still the aforementioned „The Haunted“ with the cover song „Chasm“ gehuldigt.

Light Speed Heart Beat OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

„Kill The Conductor“ is definitely a cool Thrash-Groove Metal disc, kept very straight, without much ado in the mid-tempo. This has sometimes resulted, dass gerade zum Ende der Platte eine kreative Flaute Einzug hält, who knows but with knotless songs and a continuous fire at Reef violence to compensate for the quintet again. Cool is also, is that „Expenzer“ not really subordinate to the classic Thrash, but each looking the song. The song defines the means and not vice versa. What you're looking for a little, is the hit potential, denn trotz den melodischen Momenten kann man keine Ohrwürmer ausmachen. Compositionally the eleven Thrash grenades are good, doch sind etliche Vibes noch ausbaufähig. Als Debüt darf man sich jedoch stolz auf die Schultern klopfen, because the constant change between melody, Groove und kernigen Thrash Attacken sind gut und bohren sich gewaltig in den Gehörgang. Thus secure nor some air upwards open, But the first idea „Kill The Conductor“ very good and it will be interesting, what does the future! Who „The Haunted“ mag und den jüngsten Werdegang der Veteranen nicht sonderlich begrüsst, found in „Expenzer“ and „Kill The Conductor“ eine zuverlässige Ersatzdroge!

Album Review: Cyrence – The Hospital

Cyrencestammen aus der Bierhauptstadt München und mindestens so spritzig lecker und (Uber)schäumend ideenreich wie das blonde Nass. The boys make melodic Thrash Metal im Stile von Grössen wie METALLICA, Megadeth or Trivium. „The Hospital“ is their new EP, welche sieben starke Songs mit eingängigen Melodien enthält. Wer sich beim ersten Antesten des quirligen Songmaterials wohlig an die frühen und besten Zeiten der genannten populären Genregrössen erinnert fühlt, den enttäuschen diese bayerischen Qualitätslieferanten dann auch nicht im Geringsten.

Cyrence - The Hospital

Die Grundsteine fürCyrence“ were already in 2006 als Solo-Projekt von Sänger Tim gelegt. Als vollständige Band waren sie erst ab 2009 on the way. Ansässig in München, there is a band in the current cast of Tim Gratwohl (Vocals and Guitar), Dominic Millett (Lead guitar and Animals), Chris Hammer (Bass und Backing Vocals) and Tom Goldberg (drums). Loud „Cyrence“-Mastermind Grathwohl has the name of no real significance. Ihren Stil beschreiben die Münchner als Melodic Thrash Metal, packed with a modern twist with many riffs, inviting you to headbang, but also melancholy and quiet passages are represented. Solid guitar work is clearly in the foreground. The singing is rough and edgy. I must admit, I until the day of the four guys from „Cyrence“ noch nicht viel gehört hatte. With release of their first EP called „The Hospital“ hat sich das aber schlagartig geändert.

Cyrence Band

With „The Hospital“ erhält man knapp 37 Minutes Melodic Thrash Metal at its best. The Track „A New Beginning…“ kommt für Thrash Metal ein unüblicher Beginn zum Zug: Heavy-der difficult Gitarrensound always mehr anschwillt um zum Unvermeidlichen zu führen. So the band sets after this intro also equal with „Dystopia“ los und dies enthält ein Riff, das auch gut von den kanadischen Annihilator hätte stammen können. Sehr melodiös mit Hetfield’schen Anklängen, but with some more steam! The guitars draw and also the vocals, radiates the amount of energy. In his quick robe he remembers directly classics like „Right the Lightning“ or to the good old days of Trivium „The Crusade“. With „This Life“ it goes in Annihilator pace and guitar wizard Dominic Millett supplies to a brilliant solo, das sich hören lassen kann. Brutal und mit Härte knallt der Song aus den Boxen. Properly ordinary Thrash Metal! Durch den flinken Schlagzeugbeat in Verbindung mit dem stretchigen Gitarrenriff bleibt der Song richtig gut im Ohr und kann mit seiner melodischen Thrash-Attitüde vollkommen überzeugen.

Cyrence - This Life

With „I Won’t Fall“ is presented, though also a good pace, but here special emphasis was definitely on the Melodic set. Besides heavy riffs guitar also provides some very melodic shares. Designed is interesting then the section in which the song takes precedence and stands alone in the breaks of the instruments. the above 7 Minutes are very entertaining – and who has been looking forward to Guitar Solos, is with „You Kill Me“ served. Die Dichte an fingerfertigen und schnellen Solos überzeugen. Eine gute Mischung von recht grooviger Melodieführung, strong drums and singing with the force of a fist in the face. With „Purity Control“ endet das kurzweilige Vergnügen dann leider auch schon. Here shows drummer Thomas Goldberg, what he's got. From blast beats to double bass attacks and more. Well done Thrash Metal, then towards the end is a bit softer and humor makes the whole EP to be passed through once again.

Die Münchner Band „Cyrence“ show with their first EP, that it significantly more mature Music machen können als einige andere in dem Segment. Die Musik ist kein einfaches Geknüppel, but is made up mainly of intelligent songwriting and craft good music. Stronger, melodiöser Thrash, dessen Hooklines noch nicht völlig ausgereift, die Ansätze dazu aber vorhanden sind. Die Riffs sind eingängig und die Stimme des Sängers erinnert mehr als nur flüchtig an einen jungen James Hetfield. the, what Metallica after their old albums Lost has, ist offenbar in München wiederentdeckt und zu Metal erstklassiger Güte verarbeitet worden. „Cyrence“ erfinden den Thrash Metal natürlich nicht neu, but the album works well as it is and gives a qualitative – unfortunately quite short – Hörerlebnis, das nicht nur Fans der Vorbilder aufhorchen lässt. Für ein Erstlings-Werk klingt alles schon bewundernswert ausgereift. Wenn die Jungs den Standard der EP halten und für spätere Alben sogar verbessern können, stehen ihnen alle Türen offen. The shekel can recommend all, die gerne Old School Thrash Metal hören, and put on melodies and lyrics with content.
