Filip Leu and his family are legends in the tattoo scene. Filip learned to tattoo as a child and now has a customer waiting list of several years. He is the idol of many tattoo artists. This video is a highlight for every tattoo fan.
The late Felix Leu is considered the forefather of modern tattooing. He discovered the art of tattooing in the late 70s and was one of the first whose tattoos deserved the term "body art". He influenced the tattoo world like no other, many tattoo artists were guided by his skills. He passed this on to his family. “My father is an icon. Everything he did, he did XNUMX percent. He was a good father. He knew how to bring out the best in people. He was a good motivator, leader and teacher. I was really pissed off when he got cancer and died from it." You can feel the close bond they have and maintain in the Leu family. The studio "The Leu Family's Family Iron» is in Sainte-Croix in the canton of Vaud. Filip tells stories from his childhood: «I never go to school. We have always been traveling with family. That's why I like prom movies so much, because I've never experienced it myself. When I was 10, my father tattooed me for the first time, it was a star. It was my decision that I learned how to tattoo myself very early on.» Filip speaks calmly and deliberately. "A few years ago a guy came into the studio and said, 'I travel all over the world and in every tattoo parlor I see your stickers. Now I know you're the best tattoo artist in the world." I said, "No, I'm the guy who hands out the most stickers."
