At its time, the Amiga 500 was particularly popular as a game computer, as the picture and sound quality in particular was far superior to the PCs common at the time and offered a large number of available games. The Amiga 500 was powered by a 7,09 Mhz Motorola 68000 CPU and had 512 kilobytes of RAM, which could be expanded to up to 9 megabytes.
