For the survivors around Rick, the 11th episode was an important stage on their way to a new refuge. When our group had decided to trust him after a thorough investigation and questioning of the unknown guy named Aaron, at the end of the episode we found our troop at the gates of the Alexandria Protection Zone, behind whose walls we could hear happy children screaming. Was Aaron right when he promised them a new, safe home behind these walls?

In the upcoming new episode (“Remember”) of “The Walking Dead,” we will see that the group surrounding Rick has some difficulties adapting to a new lifestyle, which forces them to grapple with whether they can live again can become the people they once were. In the following videos for episode 12 begins with the arrival of the entire troop at the gates of Alexandria. Rick’s voice can be heard saying: “I’ve killed people. I don’t even know how many by now, but I know why they’re all dead.” Inside the Alexandria protection zone we see a lot of very well-preserved houses that appear almost untouched by the zombie apocalypse and that look downright inviting. A moment later we see Rick inspecting a tastefully decorated living room while Daryl sits on a porch with his crossbow.

Meanwhile, Rick's son Carl sets out to investigate the upper floor of this house, drawing his knife when he sees a locked door. What awaits him behind that door? So what, or more precisely who, is waiting for our group in this new community? Who lives behind the walls of the Alexandria Protection Zone? As Michonne had already discovered in the car, Aaron had never been asked this question or had never answered it... Whether the Alexandria Protection Zone (“ASZ” for short) really represents a place of peace? Some already suspected another trap, as Aaron had described his settlement to the group, but never said a word about the other residents who live there with him and Eric. In the videos for the upcoming 12th episode we also see the streets of Alexandria completely deserted, which apparently also makes our survivors quite suspicious. But where did the children's laughter come from that Rick heard at the gates of Alexandria and which was ultimately decisive for him finally leading his group through the gates into the city? Before we start further speculation about the possible (evil) intentions of the ASZ residents, let's take a look at what we know about this place from Robert Kirkman's comics!

ASZ consists of a few cleared street blocks in the city of Alexandria in the US state of Virginia. It's about six miles from Washington DC and has only been in existence for less than a year. After the end of the war, which resulted in considerable destruction in Alexandria, the city was completely deserted for a short time until some survivors returned and began the clean-up work. In the comics, about two years after the end of the war, Alexandria was completely rebuilt and largely improved - for example, new houses were built and fields and orchards were planted. In the TV series, however, this development seems to be well advanced, as Aaron, for example, proudly told Rick about his apple trees ...

The founder of the Alexandria Protection Zone was a certain Alexander Davidson, who had started the construction. Together with his good friend Douglas Monroe, he was the leader of the community of survivors there, but at some point he began to abuse his power and assaulted some women living there. This forced his friend Douglas to put an end to his hustle and bustle, but because Douglas did not want to and could not kill him, he instead burned a walker, claiming that it was Davidson. He banned the same from the ASZ, believing that this amounted to the same thing as killing him. After Davidson's disappearance, life in Alexandria continued quite peacefully under Monroe's rule.

The security of the ASZ actually seems to be guaranteed thanks to its strong walls. However, in the comics the danger initially lurks within the walls. If you remember the conversation between Aaron and Noah in the trailer, Aaron confidently told him that there was a "very talented surgeon" living in the camp who could certainly help him. “Pete” or Peter Anderson, at least in the comics, seems to be not only a talented doctor, but also an increasingly violent sociopath, at least that is how his wife Jessie describes him. Just like a wild gang of looters (“D.C. Scavengers”) who live in the ruins of Alexandria, Pete will attack the city's residents after Rick & Co. arrive, which will force Douglas Monroe to reconsider his leadership qualities.

In addition to Aaron, we also met his friend Eric in the previous 11th episode, who is also a recruiter for the ASZ. Aaron and Eric are the first homosexual couple in the TV series and in the comics to always be found alongside Rick and the others. Altogether there were a little less than 60 residents living in the ASZ when Rick & Co. joined them and especially for Rick things should finally be interesting in the ASZ again in the matter of love: So he was already together with one during the filming of episode 12 seen a blond woman on the street with whom he apparently had a very animated conversation. We'll see next week whether this is actually Andrea, who becomes his new partner in the comics.

If Robert Kirkman's repeated statements are to be believed, the series will increasingly be based on the comics and so we can assume that our group will actually stay in the Alexandria protection zone for the time being. In the comics, Rick & Co. will live there for at least three years. After the attacks by Pete and the Scavengers, Douglas Monroe will resign from his position as leader of the ASZ and transfer it to Rick. But Rick faces an even greater challenge, because, attracted by the exchange of fire with the looters, a gigantic herd of walkers approaches the settlement, with the zombies trying with all their might to tear down the walls. If you consider that with the upcoming 12th episode we only have five more episodes of this 5th season, you can assume that this attack will probably only be seen in the last 2-3 episodes of season 5. As far as the countless rumors about the arrival of mega-villain Negan and his “Saviors” are concerned, we can assume that – also according to Robert Kirkman’s statements – they will only be seen in the 6th season. Similar to the Governor, this storyline will likely make up a large part of the coming season. It is unclear when the “Whisperers” will appear; in the comics, this only happens long after Negan & Co. It is clear that we will probably get to know some new series characters in the coming episodes.

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced press reporting politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I'm aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I won't change it to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it is "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
